Piedmont

Charmingly suburban, with a downtown that feels like the best of small-town America, Piedmont has appeal for all types of homeowners. Piedmont is located in Oakland, but is a separate city, and has its own government, schools, and taxes. Other residents appreciate the ease of commuting, while enjoying life in the foothills. There’s a popular “Casual Carpool” for those heading into San Francisco, and the city is well-situated for accessing Walnut Creek, Berkeley, and Oakland.
